. let me throw a few facts on the table. the government accountability office that works for harry reid and obama, they say 125 billion dollars in estimated improper payments in the federal government? i've got another one of their reports, 510 billion dollars of duplicative wasteful programs in the federal government. that's a lot of money. i've got another document here, a summary of the social security, medicare boards of trustees. i think they work for obama and they say here, medicare and social security cannot sustain protected long-term programs costs and that somebody needs to do something about it very fast. what has obama done about any of this? nothing about the 500 billion dollars. nothing about the 125 billion dollars. nothing about social security, medicare, or medicaid. and then they go around talking about how they care about people. they don't care about anybody. they represent big government, and that's all they represent. >> sean: and mark, the results aren't good. let's be honest here, we have 9 million people, fewer americans in the work force, and 50 million americ

universal background checks. harry reid is going to have to cobble together something. something meaningful that he can pass and move on to this house so we can get some bills signed. i really doubt the bill in its pure form as dianne feinstein has proposed it will see the light of day. >> right. all the so-called wise men and women of washington say senator feinstein's bill, as you say, has no chance of passing the full senate, but every day you and i see the incredible toll that this is taking. just this week, we saw the death of a 6-year-old little -- 6-month-old little baby girl called jonalah watkins of chicago. she was shot five times while her father was changing her diaper in the front seat of the minivan. the father was also shot. incredible, the mother had been shot, herself, once, while she was pregnant. what are we supposed to do about this? are we supposed to just walk away from some kind of meaningful legislation, when babies as young as 6 months old are murdered while their diapers are being changed? >> you know, martin, this is probably the most unspeakable tragedy we can th

: okay. >> caller: you just talked about harry reid agreeing to reform filibustering, and i'm wondering how harry reid feeling about that handshake that he gave him over that. >> stephanie: yeah. yeah. >> caller: but what i really called about is can you and all of the other people that do what you do stop talking about these republican crises and start getting into people's heads that if we don't attack these republicans for not doing it -- it is them shutting up that would stop these crazies. >> stephanie: all right. we just mentioned it. there you go. with a bell. >> yes. [ bell chimes ] [ applause ] >> stephanie: and mitch mcconnell is a bag of pus. okay. jim in chicago. hello, jim. >> caller: yeah hi stephanie. love your show. you guys crack me up. >> stephanie: thank you. >> caller: for sure. the democrats have to get with it and create a policy that's going to take -- bring the voters to the polls because the republicans answer is tax breaks. i.e. -- it has all been we're going to cut your taxes, where the democrats have to come one up on that so they can get t

when i say thank god for harry reid stopped busch's plan to privatize social security. so you wanted to turn her grandmother postretirement to lehman brothers, bear stearns? that is the people who were in charge. social security has been around for 75 years and has never missed a check. thank god for social security. as for -- as for "obamacare," call your mother, father, ask them if they like being on medicare. they love it. yes. and yet medicare only has 5000 employees. private insurance has hundreds of thousands of employees. government, more efficient and health insurance. more effective, lower overhead, better outcomes, lower prices. the only change i want to make is the eligibility age to birth. let's all get on medicare then we will have a real system. >> i will not answer that, but i would love to all on. have you been to the dmv lately? yes. house of service. >> when secretary of state hillard erie @ clinton appeared for the senate hearing on and got as they come here is what she said about the cause of the riot -- here is what she said.
